Programs
Mission of the People’s Parliament is to inspire and supports political and social changes that positively impact democracy, civil society and economy.
People’s Parliament implements projects that are consistent with organization's mission statement and a set of defined long-term objectives of the organizations.
Three main program areas through which we implement different sorts of projects are:
Program "Local government and public administration" was established in order to direct and coordinate efforts of figures and actors of a local community life towards the build-up of the functional, payable and transparent bodies of local government and public administration; introduce "good governance" and "best value" models into every-day work of public administration and local government bodies; mediate during the transfer of "know how" between domestic and foreign state institutions; and help development of legislation and policies that influence accountability and working transparency of "organizations of the state".
Program "Youth" was established in order to build knowledge and skills that help the young lead safe, creative and income-stable life; teach them about tolerance, antiracism and anti-discrimination; increase active participation of youth in life of their local communities and socio-political processes and therefore improve their overall social status; and improve cooperation between organizations, institutions and associations that work with young people.
End finally, Program "Cross-border cooperation" was established in order to build sustainable system of ideas, experience and knowledge exchange among nations and countries in the region, contributing to regional stability and integration of Serbia in regional, international, and European cooperation mechanisms.
Each of the above stated program objectives are being achieved through implementation of project activities that, most often, consist of a different sets of activities such as: seminars, conferences, trainings, round tables, civic protests, different kinds of promotional campaigns and researches, printed and electronic material publishing and dissemination, public performances, etc.
Generally, various public advocacy activities.
These and other similar activities have been embodied in more than fifty local, national and international projects that we implemented, and several dozens of other projects during which we had status of a project partner.
